So imagine this. Your honey is kicking back watching the Super Bowl and you are not sure what to do with your time. Why not bring the kids out for a Valentines Day Mini Session. I have added limited sessions for February 2nd and if the weather is great, we may be able to do some outdoor shots. Message me ASAP to get your booking!!!
Can you believe we are almost halfway through January already??? That means Valentines Day is just around the corner. I will be offering “Sweet Sessions” the 18th and 25th of January and then February 1st so that you can get your cards and stuff in time for Valetines Day.
So this is really becoming more of an overall learning process for me. I have started looking up architecture (or is it architectural?) designs to see what I am going to look for for each letter… Today’s letter (yes just like on Sesame Street only the words are bigger… LOL) is the letter C. Letter C is for cartouche. More about the cartouche here

I have been waiting “forever” to get to capture the guys/girls in their boats. Several times I have come over the river at sunset and they were out doing their training. I always wanted to stop and get a picture from the overpass. It seems that would have been my best bet. I did not realize how hard it was to get a good picture. Of course these guys are going at like 70 strokes per MINUTE too. And then I discovered even though I had my 75-300mm lens with me, the guys coming to the finish line were on the south side of the river and it was still hard to capture them. When I get the few “good ones” edited, I will post a link here…
Nonetheless it was a great day overall. I got to enjoy my day out, spend time with a great friend, and now I must get back up and prepare to do it all over again for World Photowalk here in Norman tomorrow. Cannot wait!!!
Have you ever admired someone’s work from afar and thought you would love to meet them in person? Well, I have. There are so many amazing photographers out there, but then there are those photographers who also put their heart and soul into the “after effects”, giving you not just a photo, but a piece of art. Lissa Hatcher is one of those artists. I have long admired her work and recently had the chance to attend a workshop (Whispers and Wonders) where she was one of the speakers/trainers alongside baby whisperer Christy Goodger.
I walked away from this training feeling so renewed and refreshed. There will be changes coming to me personally and professionally in the next few days. I am sure they will be reflected in my “work” too. Thank you to all of you who view this blog and take the time to comment.
Just thought I would share a sample picture of what I am doing with my CD’s for clients now. The image on the left is the CD cover that slides into the front of the case and the pic on the right is the CD itself after their picture has been burnt onto the CD. Wish it was in color, but it does look pretty freakin awesome!!!
