WOW! Life has been so busy lately. Summer is quickly coming upon us and yet it seems odd that this could be the case. My “baby” just started a job. Yes, a J-O-B. It seems crazy that this is happening. One minute she is reaching out for me to pick her up when she has fallen and skinned her knee, and the next, she is Miss Independent… making her own money, saving for a car, all the wonderful things that will take her off into this big scary world… away from me. I guess I just have to trust that we have taught her well, and she will make good choices. Two more years… I know they say that kids never really leave home anymore. But still, she is moving in her own direction, making her own decisions. **Sigh** Where does the time go?
Next Saturday we will be celebrating her “Sweet 16″ party. That in and of itself seems to be taking over the whole house lately. Decorations, ideas, where, when, who, how??? Yikes! My house is a cluster of hot pink, black, and silver decor waiting to be set up and create a beautiful mood… a lasting memory… for my not so little “baby.
